What to do while in Maui (HAWAII!) Our first time there =)?

I just went there for the first time also, in Maui. We didn't do a Luau because the people we were with said it was a waste of time. We went to Mama's Fish House, it was a really cool place, but the food is extremely overpriced, I don't recommend it, its like $300+ for 4 people. There is one awesome beach, I believe they call it Big Beach, check it out if you can. I HIGHLY recommend going snorkeling. That was a blast!!! If you can definately try to find the Big Beach, nice decent sized waves that break at the shore and a really wide open place with limited people. It may be a little more crowded since it is the summer now. Also, if interested, I would go deep sea fishing.
