How should I handle this?

I was moving last year and had a ton of stuff to move(downsizing) so I was selling things I didn't need and didn't have anywhere to put . I had two refridgerators for sale, one was smaller and brand new, i was asking 300.00 for it. Well, neither one sold but my niece said she would put the smaller one in her garage, along with other things she was storing for me. so that I wouldn't have to leave it there, I didn't have anywhere else to put it. I knew she was gonna use it while it was there. Well, that was a year ago and a couple of weeks ago I asked her if she wanted to buy it because if she didnt I knew someone that did. She got mad at me and said she thought I gave it to her. I was trying to sell it not give it away!!!! Do you think she should be mad? Am I wrong? We are normally pretty close but she wont hardly talk to me now. How should I handle this?
