DO UCs favor the SAT I and ACT plus Writing the same way?

The UCs regard the SAT and ACT equally, so feel free to send them your ACT score especially if you can get a 30. Both Berkeley and LA are competitive schools, so I would encourage you to work hard and see if you get good results on the SAT IIs (700+ will you put you in good position). I think the average weighted GPA of accepted students to these schools is in the 4.2 range which is something to consider. With that in mind I would say you have an outside/decent chance of getting in although that might change depending on what you get on the standardized tests. Good luck!
