So I've been a vegetarian for about 2 years. I'm planning on becoming a vegan when I move out, since my parents barley support me being vegetarian. Anyway, until then I'm secretly practicing being vegan by cutting out some obvious foods such as eggs. I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian, so I don't eat any meat. I do eat dairy products and eggs, but I'm slowly trying to give those up. What are the basic ingrediants that vegans avoid? I know they avoid lard, gelatin, and rennet. Anything else? Or other tips on switching?
